Welcome to Youth for Unity Ireland!
We are boys and girls from all over Ireland. We are from different races and religions. But together we live the Golden Rule to “Treat others the way we would like to be treated”.
By living this in our families, schools and with our friends we colour the grey corners of our lives.
Our next Big Event is called RUN4UNITY International Eucharistic Congress RDS Dublin.
Parliament Buildings, Belfast hosted the Irish stage of the 3rd international Run4Unity on May 12th. That "Run4Unity was a youth relay race with a difference. The baton - a virtual one was passed around the world from one time zone to the next via an internet link.
Belfast received the baton from Luxembourg and then passed it on to a youth group in Iceland. That event was a symbolic way of connecting young people throughout the world. The aim was to unite people on that day and to express a common desire to work for peace and unity across the globe. All of it was streamed live via internet.
Young people from all over Ireland came to Belfast. As part of the afternoon’s programme there was a 5km Fun run - in the wonderful setting of the Stormont Estate grounds.
